If you fancy a climb and getting back to nature at the same time, head for the Tree Top Challenge. Situated in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, the centre has a set of magnificent oak trees for you and your family to clamber up. Don't worry if you're not an experienced climber—Tree Top Challenge has a range of activities to suit different ages and abilities.
With the use of rope ladders, ‘action man' commando ropes, high bridges, tree scrambles, slack-lines, rope swings and even zip lines, you'll find that a tree can be an incredible playground. Show your kids the whole new world that's right above their heads!
Climbers can reach heights of 15 metres in the oak trees, and with the support of the experienced climbing supervisors you'll be completely safe when you're there! All of Tree Top Challenge's activities have safety systems in place and they provide equipment which is fully certified.
If there's one person in the family who doesn't like heights, there's no need to fret. Tree Top Challenge also provide archery and axe throwing for those who'd rather keep their feet firmly on the ground.

What do you picture when dreaming of a weekend away in manor house? Probably not zooming down zip wires or dropping from six metre high platforms! Go Ape Margam teams historic grounds with high ropes for an adventure like no other.
As well as 39 thrilling crossings - including bridges, tunnels and more - have a go at one of the biggest Tarzan swings in the Go Ape family. It’s a real leap of faith as you hook yourself in, take a deep breath and drop a giant six metres. The course takes around two to three hours to negotiate so finish with a bang on their 167m zip wire. Phew!
Once you’re up in the trees you’ll have a cracking view of Margam Country Park and 1,000 acres of woodland. Look out across the lake, up to the Manor House and see if you can spot any of the local residents: Margam’s deer! They’re the largest herd in Wales and it’s quite a thrill when you manage to catch a glimpse of some as they dash across the hillside.

In 1977 a rare plant, the tuberous thistle (Cirsium Tuberosum), was found growing around the lighthouse.
Nash Point was the last manned lighthouse in Wales. The lighthouse keepers left on 5 August 1998.
